“I like helping people. That’s the reason for this website!”

I suppose I’ve always dabbled with computers and always been a bit of a geek. I created my first website a few years ago for the family business (my proper job & full time passion!)and this has since evolved into what it is today! Ever since then I have been building various sites for family and friends in my spare time.

I first built from scratch using raw html. This was fun, and allowed complete control over the design. The thing is, as I am more of a ‘web design hobbyist’ I didn’t have the necessary skills to make them wholly W3C compliant.

I now use modified wordpress themes as a platform for most of the sites I create and this means three things:

1. My sites are fully compliant.
2. CMS – Content Management Systems allow a website owner to edit their own websites pages without coming back to the developer every time they want to change something!
3. Widgets – little bits of code you can insert into the site do all sorts of cool stuff!

All this means I can keep helping people who need a web presence without wanting to spend a small fortune! Woohoo!
